Hope in Bloom: A Regenerative Partnership Rooted in Africa’s Soil

At The Bitcoin Stewardship Initiative, we believe the most powerful capital is the kind that regenerates, not just wealth, but land, life, and local economies. That’s why we’re inspired by the work of organizations like Mainsprings and EARN, a holistic community model in East Africa that is transforming futures through education, agriculture, and ecological stewardship.

Mainsprings doesn’t just care for the land. It cultivates dignity, resilience, and opportunity. What began as a single home for vulnerable girls has grown into a thriving campus ecosystem: schools, regenerative farms, healthcare access, clean water, and a deep respect for the land that sustains it all.

We’re especially encouraged to see the involvement of our friend and mentor, Mark Shepard, who has worked with Mainsprings to help educate local villages on regenerative agriculture and ecosystem-based farming practices. His guidance has supported their efforts to restore soils, build food security, and empower communities through land-based learning.

While TBSI has not yet funded Mainsprings projects directly, we are strong supporters of their mission and hope to explore collaborative opportunities in the future. Their work is a living example of the kind of impact we aim to support, where ecological restoration and human empowerment walk hand in hand.
